Program: Mark and his international team of coaches use a simple, clear, fun approach, covering all aspects of the game including physical and mental training as well as nutrition. Program elements include off court training including aerobic and anaerobic exercise, stretching, plyometrics and fun games; drills and technical practice; on court training; emphasis on competitive games.

“It is rewarding for me to teach the kids the simple techniques and steps that I have learned to help improve their swings and ball control and also to relate to them what it was like mentally to compete at the highest level for 17 years. I find by the third day of camp, the entire group is focusing and executing what I like to call the “shake and bake”. I believe in a simple, clear approach that I see works with all of the camps and our Stanford Squash teams. The biggest reward though for me is that I know each and every one of the students that comes to our Academy has fun and enjoys the week while learning the most effective ways to compete. They also make new friendships at camp which lasts for many years. This represents to me what squash camp should be about.” — Mark Talbott
